Feb. 8-12, 2010 **UPDATED** 2/10 *UPDATED* 2/11

6th Grade-
Monday: Wksh pkts were due. Assignment: Study!!! Look for updates!!!!
Tuesday: Pop-Quiz? Re-teach fronts. Discuss notes & worksheets. If there is a snow day be prepared to show the notecards you made for Chapter 13.2 and 3.
Weather Challenge Group: Discuss weather data. Questions?
Wednesday: Reading the newspaper-weather. **UPDATED** If you are reading this and checking on homework please print off your section of the blog or have your parent sign off on you agenda that you are checking the Blog-EC!!!! (Remember to e-mail me through skyward if you have questions.  I can recieve those better than the regular e-mail.) 
I hope you are studying and making notecards for section 2 and 3. Re-read those sections too. You could be doing the section assessments for section 2 and 3 also-they are going to be assigned when you come back. You will also have the note questions to do. Be prepared for some catch up homework!!
Weather Challenge group: Make sure you are collecting your data and experimenting with making the maps on the website.  Watch the weather stations or check out the weather in the paper so you are familiar with designing weather maps.
Thursday: Weather. **UPDATED** Make sure your weather worksheets are completed by Monday and remember to use your book! Pages 655 and Ch. 13.2 and 3.  If you finish you may work on the section assessment questions.

Weather Challenge: Assignment Feb. 11. discuss the next part of your assignment-Creating maps, and predicting the weather.
On Friday, Feb 12th you will predict the weather and create a map on the interactive map for Saturday after you record the day’s weather.

Sat: Predict the weather for Sunday and record it on the chart you were given. Then create a weather map showing your predictions. (If you cannot access the interactive map, you may draw your predictions-remember you are presenting this to the class.) Then record the actual weather on the second chart you were given.
Sunday: Predict the weather for Monday and record it on the chart you were given. Then create a weather map showing your predictions. (If you cannot access the interactive map, you may draw your predictions-remember you are presenting this to the class.) Then record the actual weather on the second chart you were given.
Do this procedure every day for 7 days. Your last day would be Friday, Feb. 19th.
Remember if you have any questions make sure you send me a message through skyward. Sometimes I don’t get my e-mails from school when I open the school’s e-mail. I will get back to you as soon as possible.

8th Grade-
Monday: Experiments-Bread mold. Yeast a growing! Or not? Fungi Test on Thursday!! Remember to meet with me this week! Faculty meeting Tuesday morning, I will have to meet with you at lunch.
Tuesday: Review notes for test on Thursday over Fungi.  3rd hr.-we will do the yeast experiment over today!  My mistake-it's called read the directions Mrs. Hunter!  :) If there is a snow day-check out the fungi powerpoint on the blog and review the fungi quiz. 
Wednesday: Review for the test and eat ICE CREAM!!!!!!! Mmmmmmmmm! **UPDATED**Your test will be moved to Monday-sorry got to get it in. Bring all of your notes for the fungi unit.  Try to watch the fungi powerpoint on the blog. Study!!!!  Bring in a copy of this 8th grade blog or have your parents sign off on your agenda that you are checking the homework Blog-EC!!!!!
Thursday: Fungi Test!! **Moved to Monday!!!  Study!!! Ice cream and review!!!!
