6th Grade-
Monday: Beginning Chapter 12-Atmosphere. Assignment: Begin previewing Chapter 12.1 -3 times today. Start poster-Draw Figure 12.3 on the poster with all labels and descriptions that are in the book-Due: Tuesday. Drawing should be at least as big if not a little bigger than your outstretched hand. It should be placed near the lower to middle left hand side of the poster. It should be colored sometime this week. We will be adding to the poster on a daily basis. Students may start notecards on the chapter vocabulary.
Tuesday: Assignment: Preview Chapter 12.2 Tuesday-3 times. Work on adding to Atmosphere poster. Make sure you have colored your poster. ***UPDATED*** It is now time to THINK in science and put your brain to work. Please follow Directions!!! Correct your poster if you did not follow directions!!! Describe or Define each vocabulary word in Ch12.1-Place it neatly NEXT to it’s labeled spot on Fig.12.3. Label and define Ionosphere in the correct location of Fig.12.3-Use your book to find the answer. Problem Solving-Draw or trace the Graph on page 336 on your poster-answer the problem solving questions on the back of the poster. Draw or trace Fig. 12.6 on your poster-label. Place both items on the right side of your poster. Draw 3 products that give off CFC’s on the bottom of your poster. Find the answer in your book.
Wednesday: Assignment: Preview Chapter12.3 Wednesday-3 times. Add to Atmosphere poster. Make sure you have colored your poster. ***UPDATED*** Draw the following Figures from Ch. 12.2 of your book. Label and describe every figure. Also define all the vocabulary words in this section: Fig. 12.8, 12.9 (you don’t have to draw every building), 12.10 (you don’t have to draw every building), and 12.11. Everything goes on the front of your poster EXCEPT Fig.12.11.
Thursday: Assignment: Add to Atmosphere poster.
Friday: Poster due!!
8th Grade-
Monday: Worked on Kingdom Book. Assignment: All research should be completed tonight and brought to class on Tuesday!!! Due by Friday. Watch the weather snow days could because your book to be turned in early!
Tuesday: Work on Kingdom book. Checking for completion of research-Graded!! Due by Friday. ***UPDATED***Your Kingdom book will be your Final as we discussed earlier. It will be worth 200 points instead of 100 points. Remember if you follow the directions and make sure you have everything in your book completed and done neatly you will earn a fabulous grade!!! I am looking forward to your wonderful products!!
Wednesday: Work on Kingdom book. Your Kingdom Book should be started and at least half way completed at this point. Due by Friday.
Thursday: Work on Kingdom book. Your Kingdom Book should be almost completed at this point. Due by Friday.
Friday: Kingdom book completed!!
