October 19-23

6th Grade -
Monday:  (6D - Assembly)
All 6th: Discussed volume activity from last week.  Gave some metric notes.  Student were to write them down from the board.  There will be a quiz over the notes on Tuesday. 
Notes:  King Henry Died by drinking chocolate milk.

6B, 6C, 6A:  Popcorn volume activity.  6D will do the activity on Tuesday.
Tuesday:  Quiz over Metric symbols.  Metric Notes.  6D-Quiz and Popcorn Volume activity.
Wednesday:  Metric Review .  Metric conversion worksheet - Due Thursday.  Quiz over metric conversions on Friday. 
Thursday: Go over metric worksheet.  Answer questions. Assignment: Conversion worsheet due Friday.
Friday:  Go over metric worksheet. Take Metric conversion quiz. 

8th Grade -
Monday: Enzyme experiment. How enzymes break down food in your stomach. Checked note cards that were assigned on Friday-Must be completed by this Friday!!!  Fix Observation, Inference, & Analysis.  Please follow directions as you were given.  This is an example format that was requested of the students and was on the board for 2 days:
  • Observation:  There are shadows on the cars.
  •  Inference:   There are shadows on the cars because the sun is shining. 
  • Analyzation:  There are shadows on the cars because the sun is shining. Therefore, it has stopped raining.
Tuesday: Collect papers that needed to be fixed.  Notes on Chapter 15.2. Assignment: Section Assessment Questions 1-4.  We will do number 5 in class.  Due on Wednesday-we will go over and it will be a grade.
Wednesday:  Grade Section Assessment. Review notes.  Questions?  Experiment if time permits-Diffusion.
Assignment:  For experiment-observation, inference, analyzation, & conclusion. If we get to it.  (Paragraph)
Thursday:  Notecards will be checked on Friday.  Experiment on Osmosis.  Observation, inference, analyzation, & conclusion. Preview Section 15-3.
Friday:  Check notecards.  Begin Section 15-3
