6th Grade:
Monday: Students that did not receive an average of 93% or above on their worksheets last week took a quiz today over metric conversions. I am pleased that the majority of the students did well on the quiz! Some students began measuring using meter sticks and rulers. No homework. We will be having a test over the metric unit next week. Most likely it will be on Wednesday.
Tuesday: Students will be practicing using metric rulers and meter sticks. We will also be comparing to yardsticks.
Wednesday: Working with triple beam balances-measuring in mass. ½ day conferences
Thursday: No school.
Friday: Working on Triple beam balances-mass. ½ day conferences
8th Grade:
Monday: Turned in Energy in Cells worksheet. Began colony activity. Collected data. Test next week -Wednesday or Thursday.
Tuesday: Continue with colony activity. Graph individual numbers of M&M’s. Students need to make sure they have all of their class M&M percentages of each student in the class. Assignment will be given in class-Due Wednesday at the beginning of class.
Wednesday: Share assignment from yesterday. Discuss M&M colony activity. ½ day conferences. Assignment :
Thursday: No School. Conferences.
Friday: Continue with Colony activity if needed. May start osmosis activity or review material. ½ day conferences.
